About the Role
The Director of Product Design will be a key leader, shaping the aesthetic, user experience, and overall brand presence across our platform and enterprise client services. This role requires a strategic visionary who can also drive tactical execution and elevate the performance of the design team. The Director will lead with craftsmanship and a reminder of responsibility: to build not just quickly, but beautifully, purposefully, and with pride. These principles ensure not just polished products but a cohesive, thoughtful experience across the board.
What You’ll Be Doing
Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to define, articulate, and execute an innovative design strategy that directly supports the company's business objectives and elevates the brand's competitive position. This includes strategy for both digital products/platforms and enterprise client-facing services.
Own outcomes for one or more functional areas. Lead and develop team members, partner closely with cross-functional leaders, ensure high-quality execution, and translate company strategy into scalable, customer-centered solutions.
Manage and mentor the product design team, fostering a high-performing culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability. Provide strategic direction, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities to ensure team mastery and success.
Champion and operationalize a rigorous user-centric design approach. Use insights and data from user research to inform and validate all design decisions.
Govern the evolution and consistency of the Chorus products’ brand identity (Chorus Signature Theme) across all Chorus products. Ensure visual design, tone of voice, and overall user experience cohesively reflect the Chorus products’ brand values and mission.
Oversee the end-to-end product design lifecycle, from initial concept, AI-assisted building/prototyping, wireframing, high fidelity designing, and final handoff, ensuring the delivery of intuitive, accessible, and market-leading digital products and services.
Establish and uphold rigorous design quality standards and practices throughout the organization. Implement robust review processes to ensure all design deliverables are consistent, high-quality, and align with brand and system guidelines.
Serve as the primary design leader in collaborative efforts with Product Management, Engineering, Clinical Solutions, and User Experience Research, to ensure design is seamlessly integrated into the product development roadmap and execution cycles. Collaborate with these partners to continuously refine the product development lifecycle as new tools emerge (example: AI workflows).
Define, build, and meticulously maintain a scalable and comprehensive Design System to optimize design workflows, promote organizational consistency, and dramatically accelerate design and development iterations.
What We’re Looking For
10+ in product design overall, including 6+ years directly managing and developing design teams
Demonstrated ownership of a design system or brand identity at scale; not just contributing to one, but governing it
Experience designing for both digital products and enterprise/B2B client services
A portfolio that shows range: strategic frameworks and pixel-level craft they were personally hands-on with
Comfortable giving feedback and taking a design from 0-to-1 themselves when needed
History of building high-performing teams
Decisive under ambiguity: can synthesize competing input (exec vision, user data, engineering constraints) into a clear call, not just facilitate consensus
Proven partnership with C-suite or executive leadership on strategy
Fluency working alongside Product, Engineering, and Research as true peers, especially in fast-evolving workflows (e.g., AI-assisted design/prototyping)
Experience operationalizing user research into design decisions, not just referencing it

Compensation Disclosure
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $190,000 in the Los Angeles market. Actual offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and may include additional components such as performance bonuses, stock options, and benefits.
