Fixed Income Analyst - AI Trainer

About The Job
We're looking for an experienced finance professional to help train AI models. You'll put the newest AI models to work on realistic investment problems from your own practice, check their analysis with a professional eye, and tell us exactly where their reasoning holds up and where it falls apart.
This is a new and fast-growing area for our company, focused on teaching AI to think like an investment professional. The models can already pull comps, summarize earnings calls, and draft an investment thesis. What they can't yet do reliably is tell a compelling pitch from a sound investment. Your judgment, rigor, and written rationale become the signal that shapes the next generation of AI tools for investors.
What You'll Do
Write challenging, realistic investment problems drawn from your own expertise (a stock pitch, an LBO model, a comparable companies analysis, a portfolio allocation, a deal memo) and run them through frontier AI models
Evaluate the output the way you'd review a junior analyst's work: accuracy of the numbers, soundness of the valuation assumptions, quality of the thesis, and whether the risks were properly weighed
Compare two model versions on identical prompts and data, and make the call on which performed better and where each fell short
Explain your reasoning and define the criteria for a strong answer, so the models learn what separates a defensible investment case from a weak one
Push the models with edge cases and flag concrete failures with evidence: valuation errors, misread financial statements, outdated or invented market data, ignored risks, circular logic, and recommendations the analysis doesn't support
Contribute across a wide range of investment work, from public equities and credit to private markets, deals, and portfolio strategy
Projects Span
Public markets: equity research, fixed income and credit, derivatives, trading strategy
Investment banking: M&A, IPOs, capital raising, fairness opinions
Private markets: private equity, venture capital, real estate, private credit
Asset and wealth management: portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk and return analysis
Hedge funds and alternatives: long/short strategies, event-driven, macro, quantitative investing
Valuation and modeling: DCF, LBO, comparable companies, precedent transactions, sensitivity analysis
Investment professionals with advanced degrees or credentials (MBA, CFA, CAIA, PhD) and buy-side or sell-side experience are especially welcome.

Projects are paid hourly up to $125+ per hour, with bonus rates available on some projects
Qualifications
Fluency in English (native or bilingual level)
Professional experience in investment finance, such as investment banking, equity research, asset management, private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds
Strong skills in valuation, financial modeling, and investment analysis
Detail-oriented, with the ability to explain your judgments clearly in writing
A current, in progress, or completed Master's and/or PhD is preferred but not required
