## About the Role
Newrich Network is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to contribute across its creator platform, SaaS tools, e-learning programs, and social learning ecosystem. This is a hands-on role focused on building new features, improving existing systems, solving complex technical problems, and helping the engineering team work more efficiently.
The Staff Software Engineer will work across PHP/Laravel, Node.js, Golang, React, TypeScript, and AWS infrastructure while contributing directly to production code. The role also provides opportunities to shape architecture, engineering standards, technical direction, documentation, workflows, and team development in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant systems across product and infrastructure.
* Own end-to-end architecture decisions across multiple services.
* Lead development of core platform capabilities including content, identity, transactions, and messaging.
* Improve application performance, reliability, and system observability.
* Work closely with founders to translate product vision into technical systems.
* Establish engineering standards, best practices, and code quality expectations.
* Mentor engineers and help develop the capabilities of the engineering team.
* Identify and eliminate technical and operational bottlenecks across the stack.
* Contribute directly to production code across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

## Required Qualifications
* 8+ years of software engineering experience.
* Proven experience designing and scaling complex distributed systems.
* Experience working on high-growth products or platforms.
* Strong backend development experience with PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, or a similar technology.
* Strong understanding of system design and software architecture.
* Strong understanding of API design and service boundaries.
* Strong understanding of databases, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
* Understanding of caching, queues, and asynchronous processing.
* Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy.
* Strong product intuition and ability to make tradeoffs between speed and scalability.
* Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
* Ability to work effectively in early-stage and ambiguous environments.
