Front-End Developer

## About the Role
Ayr Wellness is seeking a Front-End Web Developer to design, build, and maintain responsive, high-quality user-facing web applications. This role focuses on creating scalable web experiences with Next.js while collaborating closely with marketing, designers, product managers, and back-end developers.
You’ll contribute to the company’s digital presence and internal platforms by developing accessible interfaces, improving web performance, supporting SEO and security, and ensuring consistent experiences across browsers and devices.
## Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies.
* Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, functional, and accessible code.
* Design, develop, and manage scalable web applications using Next.js.
* Implement and optimize web performance, SEO, and security features for Next.js applications.
* Collaborate with designers, product managers, marketing teams, and back-end developers.
* Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability.
* Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
* Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple environments and devices.
* Maintain code quality through development best practices, peer reviews, testing, and documentation.
* Stay current with front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development or a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
* Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Next.js, or Vue.js.
* Strong understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and SEO best practices.
* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
* Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving and debugging skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated portfolio of responsive, production-quality web applications.
* Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with TypeScript.
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
* Knowledge of modern build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
* Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress.
* Understanding of web accessibility standards, including WCAG.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred; equivalent education and professional experience is accepted.
