Role Description: The Video Editor role at Monologue Edu is a part-time, remote position focused on producing clear, engaging educational video content. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing lecture recordings and learning materials, assembling raw footage, adding transitions and effects, and optimizing audio and visuals for clarity and learner engagement. The Video Editor will collaborate with educators and the content team to transform teaching outlines into polished videos aligned with Monologue Edu’s concept-based learning approach. The role also involves preparing platform-ready video files, maintaining visual consistency across series, and meeting project deadlines while working independently.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Video Editing and Video Production skills for assembling, cutting, and structuring educational content.
Candidates should possess Video Color Grading skills to enhance visual quality and maintain a consistent look and feel.
Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to create engaging titles, lower thirds, and visual aids that support learning.
Preferred proficiency in industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar software).
Ability to follow academic guidelines, interpret scripts, and align visuals with pedagogical objectives.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work remotely and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Prior experience in educational or e-learning content creation is an advantage; portfolio or sample work demonstrating video editing capability is highly beneficial.
