Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Finance Officer role based in Acton, MA. The Finance Officer will manage day-to-day financial operations, including preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and reports. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate general ledger records, supporting budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end close processes. The role will also involve supporting internal controls, assisting with audits, and providing analytical insights to leadership to guide financial decision-making. The Finance Officer will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, address finance-related inquiries, and communicate financial information in a clear and accessible manner.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger management.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in accordance with relevant standards.
Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting strategic decisions.
Effective Communication skills to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Experience with accounting or ERP software and solid Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in healthcare or nonprofit finance is beneficial, along with knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
