Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Investigator role based in Darbhanga. The Investigator will conduct field visits, interviews, and inspections to gather information related to assigned cases or claims. Daily tasks include verifying documents, cross-checking statements, compiling evidence, and preparing clear, concise reports for internal use and client review. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, following established investigation protocols, and adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. The Investigator will collaborate with supervisors and other team members, manage case timelines, and provide updates on investigation progress.
Qualifications
Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify inconsistencies, and draw logical conclusions.
Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews, explaining findings, and writing structured, accurate reports.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Basic computer literacy for documentation, email communication, and report preparation; familiarity with spreadsheets or databases is an advantage.
Knowledge of local area (Darbhanga and surroundings) and willingness to travel locally as required for on-site investigations.
Prior experience in investigation, claims verification, law enforcement, compliance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Relevant educational background such as a diploma or degree in criminology, law, social sciences, or a related discipline is beneficial.
