We are currently looking for a Medical Director specializing in Neurology to join our global Medical Affairs team.
As a Medical Director at ICON, you will drive medical initiatives within project teams, guiding strategic direction and decision-making processes, and offer expert medical and scientific guidance, leveraging therapeutic expertise to inform project development. What You Will Do
You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.
Key Responsibilities Include
Medical Monitoring
Providing strategic medical leadership and guidance on project teams.
Offering expert medical and scientific consultation throughout project lifecycles.
Ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical and safety monitoring activities.
Reviewing medical data on the indication, inclusion / exclusion criteria and other medical issues to ensure our overall project deliverables are achieved
Representing the Medical Affairs Department in business development initiatives, investigator meetings and project kick-off meetings.
Providing operational oversight within the Medical Affairs Department as needed.
Your Profile
You will bring significant medical and clinical research expertise and a passion for driving research forward.
Required Qualifications And Experience
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Neurology required.
Board Certified in Neurology
Proven track record of medical leadership and consultation within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries or CRO space preferred.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the department effectively.
Demonstrated ability to provide operational management in the absence of senior management.
Experience working with phase II-III studies either in industry or as an investigator is highly preferred.
Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)
This position can be home based anywhere in the United States.
