Role Description The Procurement Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including raising and tracking purchase orders, coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The Procurement Specialist will evaluate suppliers, support vendor onboarding, and maintain accurate records in procurement systems. Daily responsibilities include supporting contract negotiation, monitoring supplier performance, optimizing costs while ensuring quality and compliance, and preparing regular reports and analyses to support decision-making. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, and quality to maintain a resilient and efficient supply chain.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including experience managing end-to-end Procurement processes and Purchase Orders.
Ability to perform Supplier Evaluation and assess vendor capabilities, reliability, and compliance with company standards.
Experience in Contract Negotiation, including commercial terms, service levels, and risk mitigation.
Well-developed Analytical Skills for cost analysis, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems and MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or manufacturing sectors is beneficial, along with knowledge of compliance and quality standards.
