This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engenheiro Mecânico - Home Office based in Brazil.
This role supports the development and execution of complex offshore production projects, with a focus on technical documentation and engineering interfaces.
You will coordinate documentation flows, technical queries, approvals, and engineering action plans to keep projects progressing efficiently.
The position involves close collaboration with contractors, project teams, and multiple technical disciplines across offshore systems.
You will contribute to projects involving FPSOs, anchoring systems, flexible lines, and umbilicals, helping ensure contractual and technical requirements are met.
Strong organization and attention to detail are essential for managing interfaces, tracking deliverables, and resolving documentation gaps.
The role also provides exposure to engineering quality reviews, field support, procurement, installation, and project reporting.

Accountabilities
Manage and follow up on project technical documentation, ensuring deliverables comply with contractual requirements and project schedules.
Coordinate Document Lists for project contracts, controlling approval flows and aligning documentation activities with the overall project timeline.
Track responses to technical queries in accordance with contractual requirements and established procedures.
Manage interfaces with responsible teams to control technical documentation and resolve outstanding issues that could affect project development.
Prepare management presentations, technical reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
Critically review client comments on engineering documents, ensuring alignment with the contracted scope.
Plan, participate in, and lead technical project meetings, documenting decisions and follow-up actions.
Support field inspection and execution activities by providing the technical documentation required for project activities.
Coordinate the preparation and delivery of contract data books.
Prepare, analyze, and monitor engineering action plans and related follow-up activities.
Provide technical support for the analysis of formal communications, letters, reports, and other contractual correspondence.
Manage technical interfaces with FPSO, anchoring, flexible, umbilical, and other relevant project contracts.
Evaluate the quality of evidence provided by engineering contractors to support measurement and verification of engineering services.
Issue technical comments and reviews on engineering documentation.
Participate in technical meetings with companies and contractors supporting project execution.
Proactively monitor compliance with technical and contractual requirements across project contracts.
Follow the procurement and installation processes for anchoring equipment.
Follow the procurement and installation of flexible lines and umbilicals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Naval, Petroleum, Materials, or Metallurgical Engineering.
Solid, proven experience working on offshore field production development projects or within the SURF/SPS industry.
Practical knowledge of submarine/subsea systems projects.
Knowledge of API-2SK standards.
Strong command of Microsoft Office tools.
Intermediate English proficiency.
Experience managing technical documentation, engineering deliverables, and project interfaces.
Ability to analyze technical documentation and contractual requirements with attention to detail.
Strong organization and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deliverables, and deadlines.
Effective communication skills for technical meetings, reporting, and collaboration with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Proactive approach to identifying pending actions, resolving issues, and ensuring project requirements are met.
