Role Description The Human Resources Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the HR function and aligning people strategies with organizational objectives. This position oversees the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing employee relations, advising leaders on performance management, overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, and supporting workforce planning and organizational development. The Human Resources Director will guide HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional growth, while maintaining accurate HR records and metrics. The role also collaborates with senior leadership to drive culture, diversity and inclusion efforts, and continuous improvement in HR practices.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Human Resources (HR) management, including strategic HR leadership and operational HR administration.
Ability to develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support organizational objectives and compliance.
Strong experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, and supporting a positive, inclusive work environment.
Proficiency in performance management practices, including goal setting, feedback processes, and development planning.
Solid knowledge of labor and employment law, with experience ensuring regulatory compliance across relevant jurisdictions.
Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior leadership.
Experience working in a remote environment, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) are beneficial.
Background in the electrical, construction, or related industries is an advantage but not required.
