Power BI Developer

## About the Role
Trilogy Federal is seeking a **Remote Power BI Developer** to support current and future high-priority projects for a large Federal agency. This role focuses on analyzing customer data and reporting needs, developing technical reporting solutions, implementing and testing business intelligence solutions, and supporting end users with reports and dashboards.
The position has a strong focus on **Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate**, along with SQL, Azure data services, relational databases, and data analytics technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with client stakeholders and business users to understand functional and data requirements, design and prototype solutions, develop interactive reports and business models, and deliver practical analytics solutions.
## Key Responsibilities
* Attend and participate in meetings with **client stakeholders**.
* Analyze current data, reporting, and business requirements.
* Build interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft BI technologies, including **Power BI and SSAS**.
* Work with **Oracle 19c** in reporting and analytics environments.
* Develop reports and business models using **Power BI and DAX**.
* Develop and support solutions with a strong focus on **Power Apps and Power Automate**.
* Work with the **Microsoft Azure platform and services**, including:
* Power BI
* Azure SQL Data Warehouse
* Azure Synapse
* Azure Data Factory
* Work with **SQL and relational database structures** in reporting environments.
* Assist business users in defining functional and data requirements to enhance reports and reporting data.
* Participate in **requirements analysis, solution design, and prototyping**.
* Develop, implement, and test technical reporting solutions.
* Support end users with reports, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
* Apply knowledge of **data analytics application security layer models** to reporting solutions.
* Support analytics and reporting requirements associated with **Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)** and Federal Financial Management solutions.
* Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into effective Power BI solutions.
* Contribute to process and reporting improvements that support client objectives and data-driven decision-making.
## Required Qualifications
* **Bachelor’s degree** in Computer Science, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
* **8+ years of total experience related to Power BI**, with a focus on **Power Apps and Power Automate**.
* **3+ years of experience writing SQL**.
* **2+ years of development experience with JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries**.
* **2+ years of development experience with data analytics technologies**, including one or more of:
* Microsoft Power BI
* Tableau
* MicroStrategy
* BusinessObjects
* WebFOCUS
* **2+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform**, including:
* Power Apps / PowerApps
* Power Automate
* Experience developing **business intelligence reports, dashboards, and data models**.
* Experience with requirements analysis, design, and prototyping.
* Experience working with SQL and relational database structures in a reporting context.
* Ability to obtain a **Public Trust clearance**.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with business users, technical teams, and client stakeholders.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with **Python**.
* **VA or Federal experience**.
* Experience with Federal Financial Management solutions.
* Experience with **ERP** environments and reporting.
* Experience supporting government clients and working with Federal agency stakeholders.
* Experience across multiple business intelligence and data analytics platforms.

## Work Arrangement & Compensation

* **Compensation:** **$115,000–$125,000 per year**
* **Clearance Requirement:** Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
The stated salary range is **$115,000–$125,000 annually**. Trilogy Federal notes that the range is not a guarantee of compensation and that individual salary decisions are based on factors including experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
