Role Description This is a full-time Psychologist role based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site client work with some flexibility to work from home. The Psychologist will provide individual and group counseling, conduct psychological assessments, and develop treatment plans aligned with clients’ goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records, monitoring client progress, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed. The role also involves psychoeducation, crisis intervention when required, and participation in case discussions and team meetings. The Psychologist is expected to follow ethical guidelines, stay current with best practices in mental health, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive care environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply evidence-based approaches in clinical practice.
Proficiency in Counseling, including individual and group interventions, active listening, and culturally sensitive communication.
Experience with Psychological Assessment, including administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized tools.
Relevant academic background in Psychology or Clinical Psychology; advanced degree or licensure/registration as per local regulations is preferred.
Knowledge of Medicine or basic medical concepts related to mental health, and ability to collaborate effectively with medical professionals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong ethical judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Comfort working in a hybrid setup in Chennai, with effective time management and self-organization for both onsite and remote work.
Prior clinical or counseling experience in hospitals, clinics, or community settings is an advantage.
