Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Costing Engineer with strong expertise in fabrication cost estimation and cost compilation. The role requires practical understanding of fabrication processes and the ability to develop accurate cost estimates based on project specifications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for fabrication projects based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Develop and compile fabrication cost estimates covering materials, manpower, processes and other associated costs.
Analyse fabrication processes and shop-floor activities to determine accurate cost inputs.
Review project specifications, drawings and technical requirements for costing.
Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement and other teams to gather costing inputs.
Evaluate fabrication methods, resource requirements and associated costs.
Support cost optimisation through analysis of fabrication processes and resource utilisation.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of cost estimates and related documentation.
Must-Have Skills
10+ years of relevant experience in Fabrication Costing / Cost Estimation.
Strong experience in cost estimation and cost compilation.
Hands-on shop-floor/fabrication exposure with a good understanding of actual fabrication processes.
Experience in estimating costs based on project-specific specifications and requirements.
Strong understanding of fabrication materials, processes, manpower and associated costs.
Experience in structural fabrication is preferred.
Strong piping fabrication experience can also be considered.
Good analytical and coordination skills.
Education
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
