## About the Role
Zigabyte Corporation is seeking a Web Services .NET/C# Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and sustainment of enterprise-level Air Force aircraft communications, equipment maintenance, and training simulation systems. The role focuses on building secure, scalable web services and APIs using C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure to support mission-critical applications.
The successful candidate will apply software engineering practices to develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain service-oriented solutions across legacy and modernized system architectures. This role involves collaboration with architects, cybersecurity, QA, and DevSecOps teams within an Agile environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain web services and APIs using C# and the .NET framework, including .NET Core and .NET 6+.
* Develop and support SOAP-based and RESTful web services for system integration.
* Implement secure service endpoints in accordance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF requirements.
* Deploy and manage Azure cloud resources using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
* Support Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, and API Management.
* Integrate web services with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
* Develop scalable backend business logic for enterprise applications.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize service performance in production environments.
* Prepare technical documentation, interface control documents (ICDs), and API specifications.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
* Collaborate with architects, cybersecurity teams, QA, and DevSecOps engineers to support compliance and maintainability.
* Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automated deployments in Azure environments.
* Apply secure coding practices and participate in peer code reviews.
## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional experience developing .NET applications and web services.
* Strong proficiency in C#.
* Experience developing and consuming SOAP web services.
* Experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API or .NET Core.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
* Experience creating and deploying infrastructure using ARM templates.
* Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and distributed systems.
* Experience with SQL and database integration.
* Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a collaborative Agile team.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
* Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF and STIG compliance.
* Experience with enterprise system integration in large operational environments.
* Experience with ARM Templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth, Azure AD, and SAML.
* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
* Experience supporting Air Force or DoD IT systems.
