About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About the role
We are looking for a Community Manager who will become the primary day-to-day owner of Somia’s social engagement and lead conversion across three core social accounts.
Your first responsibility is making sure DMs, comments, story replies, questions and buying signals are handled consistently and followed through. You will also support social publishing and create polished social media assets, so strong design ability is important, but this is first and foremost an engagement and conversion role.
This role sits at the point where content, conversation and sales meet. You will make sure people who respond to our content are not left waiting, important comments and DMs are followed through, buying signals are recognized and conversations move naturally toward the appropriate Somia offer.
You will also create polished social media assets and support day-to-day social execution. We are looking for someone with strong design ability as well as the communication and marketing judgment to manage real conversations with our audience.
What you’ll own
1. DMs, lead engagement and conversion
Own day-to-day DM coverage across Somia’s three core social accounts.
Respond promptly and consistently to people who reply to stories, comment on content, ask questions or show interest in Somia’s work.
Recognize buying signals, answer routine pre-sale questions and guide interested people toward the most appropriate product or next step.
Use warm, human conversation rather than high-pressure sales tactics or rigid scripts.
Follow up on promising conversations and use thoughtful outreach where appropriate so good leads do not simply disappear.
Understand when a conversation should remain in social, when it should move toward a purchase and when it needs to be handed to customer support or another team member.
Use approved brand voice, FAQs, internal guidance and AI support while applying good judgment to each conversation.
Work confidently within ManyChat and other DM automation workflows, understanding how automated conversations, comment triggers and live human follow-up connect. Keep handoffs organized so leads do not get lost between automation and manual replies.
2. Comments and real-time social engagement
Monitor and respond to comments consistently across the three accounts, including checking recent posts rather than only the newest post.
Catch questions, buying signals and useful conversations in comments and move them into DMs when that is the better next step.
Support Q&As, story conversations and other interactive social content so audience engagement continues after content is published.
Keep the accounts feeling actively managed and make sure important audience conversations are not missed because of timing or volume.
Coordinate clear handoffs with the Philippines VA, who will provide secondary coverage outside your primary working window and during absence or high-volume periods.
3. Social media management and publishing
Manage the day-to-day execution of approved social content across the three accounts.
Schedule and publish approved posts, stories and campaign assets using the team’s social media tools and content calendar.
Keep track of what has been published, what needs engagement follow-up and what is still moving through production.
Work closely with the content strategy team so execution reflects current priorities, campaigns and offers.
Surface audience questions, objections, recurring themes and sales/conversion patterns so the wider team can learn from what is happening across all three accounts.
4. Social media design
Create polished social graphics, carousels, stories, Q&A assets, campaign graphics and other day-to-day visual content.
Translate content briefs and final copy into strong social-first layouts rather than simply dropping text into generic templates.
Use strong typography, spacing, hierarchy, composition, colour and brand consistency.
Design for mobile readability and create cohesive multi-slide carousels and campaign asset sets.
Create and maintain reusable Canva templates and components that the wider team can adapt when needed.
Work confidently in Canva and use Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar professional tools when they improve the work.
Translate work created in Figma or Adobe into high-quality reusable Canva assets when ongoing team editability is important.
5. Communication, reporting and continuity
Treat the three accounts as one connected social ecosystem rather than three isolated inboxes.
Report back clearly on what the audience is asking, what is driving conversations, what objections are appearing and where sales opportunities are emerging.
Keep notes, tags or handoffs clear enough that another trained team member can step in without losing context.
Communicate early about unusual volume, account issues, unclear guidance or anything that needs a team decision.
Help improve the DM, comment and social-management processes as recurring patterns become clear.
Help maintain clear inbox organization, tags, handoffs and follow-up inside ManyChat or similar shared messaging tools so the team can see where conversations stand.
You may be the right fit if
You have hands-on experience managing social media accounts, including DMs and comments, not just creating content.
You understand that private messaging can be part of marketing and sales, and you are comfortable moving conversations toward conversion without becoming pushy.
You have a strong portfolio of social media or digital design work, especially carousels, branded campaigns and content-led graphics.
You have strong graphic design skills and excellent design fundamentals, including typography, spacing, hierarchy, layout, composition and visual consistency. You’re comfortable working in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar tools, and can also build polished, reusable assets in Canva.
You are comfortable with social media scheduling and management tools such as Meta Business Suite, or other scheduling platforms.
You have experience with ManyChat or another DM automation/shared inbox platform, or you are comfortable learning it quickly. You do not need to be an automation builder, but you should understand how automated flows and human conversations work together.
Your written English is excellent and you can match an established brand voice in short, natural conversations.
You are responsive, organized and proactive. You notice conversations that need follow-up rather than waiting to be reminded.
You are comfortable working with a remote content and marketing team, receiving strategic direction and owning the day-to-day execution.
Experience in education, wellness, health, coaching, creator businesses or online programs is useful but not required.

We help people navigating chronic symptoms, pain, illness and dysregulation create meaningful, lasting recovery and move toward a fuller life. We are a small remote team building programs, education and social content for a highly engaged audience.
What success looks like
DMs and comments across all three accounts are handled consistently during your coverage and important conversations do not sit unattended.
Recent posts continue to be monitored after publication so questions, leads and useful conversations are not lost.
Interested people receive helpful answers and are moved naturally toward the appropriate Somia offer when there is a fit.
Social assets are polished, on brand and ready to publish without significant cleanup.
The three accounts feel connected and actively managed, with clear continuity between your coverage and the Philippines backup.
The content and marketing team gets useful feedback about audience questions, objections, recurring themes and sales conversations.
To apply
Apply through LinkedIn and answer the screening questions included with the application.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide a portfolio, a short 2 to 3 minute introduction video, and a specific example of using DMs, comments or outreach to move an interested person toward a sale or next step. Final candidates may also be invited to complete a small paid practical test involving both social design and a sample DM/comment scenario.
