Housekeeping Manager (HOD)

Role Description The Housekeeping Manager (Head of Department) is a full-time, on-site role based at Fortune Park Hotels Ltd. in Amritsar. This role is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards. The Housekeeping Manager plans and allocates daily work schedules, supervises and trains team members, monitors inventory and usage of linen, cleaning supplies, and equipment, and coordinates closely with Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry to support smooth hotel operations. The role also involves handling guest requests and feedback, implementing quality and hygiene standards, supporting staff hiring and performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Candidates should possess laundry-related skills, such as overseeing linen operations, garment care, and coordination between housekeeping and laundry services.
Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members, manage feedback, and maintain service standards.
Candidates should possess hiring and staffing skills, including participating in recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for the housekeeping department.
Relevant experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role in hospitality.
Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, safety and hygiene standards, and inventory control.
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
