About Kaya
Kaya is a fast-growing South Asian jewelry brand based in the USA. We're currently on Instagram and looking to expand onto TikTok, our own website (Shopify), and other growth channels as we scale — with potential to grow our footprint in Pakistan down the line as well. We're a lean, scrappy startup, and we're looking for our first key hire to help build the engine behind that growth.
The Role
We're looking for an all-rounder, someone who wants to learn how to build and run a brand from the ground up, not just execute a checklist. You'll work directly with the Founder as a true right hand: the Founder drives strategy, and you drive execution — content, social, ads, and day-to-day operations. As Kaya scales, this role scales with it, with real potential to grow into a senior marketing or brand leadership position.
This is ideal for someone who is creative, resourceful, and business-minded — someone who brings ideas rather than waiting to be told what to do, and who's excited to help take a brand from Instagram-only to a true multi-platform presence, including a future push into the Pakistan market.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management: Own day-to-day content and posting across Instagram, TikTok, and other channels as we grow
Content Creation & Editing: Shoot, edit, and publish Reels/TikToks and other short- form video and static content
Paid Ads: Set up, run, and optimize social media ad campaigns (Meta/TikTok Ads) Platform Expansion: Help launch and grow Kaya's presence on our website (Shopify) and other platforms as we expand
Customer Engagement: Respond to customer DMs/messages and comments in a timely, on-brand way
Operations & Scrappy Execution: Support general brand operations and ad-hoc tasks as a small startup requires — no task too small
Ideas & Ownership: Bring creative and strategic ideas to the table; take ownership of projects rather than waiting for instructions
What We're Looking For
Genuine interest in branding, social media, and marketing — with a mindset open to learning the business side too
A "jack of all trades" — comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small, fast-moving team
Strong short-form video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, or similar) — you know how to create scroll-stopping Reels/TikToks, not just trim clips. Photography/lighting sense for product shots is a big plus
Comfortable using Meta/TikTok Ads Manager beyond just "boosting" posts, or eager to learn — we'll get you trained up
Self-starter who's comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out
Strong communication skills in English
Able to work aligned with US business hours
Excited by the idea of growing with a brand from an early stage, not just filling a fixed role
