Role Description The Assistant Teacher of Mathematics (TGT) will support the lead mathematics teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum for middle and secondary level students. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in classroom instruction, clarifying concepts for learners, preparing teaching materials, and helping with assignments, homework, and assessments. The role also involves monitoring student progress, maintaining classroom discipline, and collaborating with other staff members to improve teaching practices and student outcomes. The teacher will participate in staff meetings, parent interactions, and school events as required. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the school campus in Murshidabad district.
Qualifications
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and accurately.
Experience or training in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to design structured, age-appropriate learning activities.
Status as a Qualified Teacher, holding relevant teaching certifications or eligibility as a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in mathematics.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field; a B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification is preferred.
Effective classroom management skills and a learner-centered approach that supports diverse learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families.
Basic proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
