About The Opportunity
We're partnering with a well-established and highly respected Division 8 contractor seeking an experienced Division 8 Detailer to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has extensive experience detailing a wide variety of commercial Division 8 projects.
Position Overview
The Division 8 Detailer will be responsible for managing commercial projects from initial review through final submittals, ensuring accuracy, code compliance, and exceptional quality throughout the detailing process.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate shop drawings and submittal packages using COMSENSE
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Develop complete door, frame, and hardware schedules
Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and vendors
Perform material takeoffs and verify project quantities
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and accessibility requirements
Manage revisions and maintain project documentation
Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of commercial Division 8 (Doors, Frames & Hardware) detailing experience
COMSENSE proficiency is required
Experience detailing a broad range of commercial project types, including healthcare, education, hospitality, multi-family, government, industrial, and office projects
Strong understanding of architectural drawings and specifications
Knowledge of applicable building codes, life safety requirements, and ADA standards
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
DHI certification is a plus
AutoCAD experience preferred
Experience working closely with architects, general contractors, and installation teams
Location
