Custom clearance Manager for JNPT port - G Card holder

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Custom Clearance Manager for JNPT port, requiring a valid G Card. The role involves overseeing day-to-day customs clearance operations at JNPT, including preparation and submission of documentation, coordination with customs officials, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Custom Clearance Manager will monitor shipment status, handle queries and escalations, and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely clearance of cargo. Responsibilities include supervising staff, optimizing processes, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customs rules, and providing accurate reporting to management. The role also requires maintaining high standards of customer service and supporting training and guidance for team members.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management skills, including process oversight and coordination at JNPT port.
Experience with Budgeting and cost control related to customs and logistics activities.
Customer Service skills to manage client communication, issue resolution, and service quality.
Knowledge of Vessel Operations and port procedures relevant to import/export cargo handling.
Ability to provide Training and guidance to team members on customs processes and compliance.
Valid G Card and hands-on experience with Indian customs regulations and documentation.
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in using relevant IT systems and portals.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding at JNPT or similar ports is highly beneficial.
