Role Description
The Site HR Executive is a full-time, site-based role responsible for managing HR operations and statutory compliance at project sites across Pan India. The candidate should be willing to be deployed at project locations anywhere in India based on business and project requirements.
The role involves independently handling day-to-day site HR activities, including manpower records, attendance and leave management, onboarding and induction, employee documentation, worker records, employee relations, and coordination with project/site teams.
A key responsibility of this position is to ensure statutory and labour law compliance at site level. The candidate should be well versed in maintaining compliance documentation, registers, licences, records, and supporting documents required for internal/client audits and statutory inspections.
The Site HR Executive will work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Corporate HR, contractors/subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth workforce management and a safe, compliant, and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complete site HR operations and workforce-related activities.
Maintain daily attendance, leave, overtime, muster rolls, and manpower records.
Handle employee and worker onboarding, induction, documentation, deployment, and exit formalities.
Maintain accurate records of employees, contract labour, subcontractor manpower, and site workers.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements at project sites.
Coordinate and maintain documentation relating to EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, BOCW, Contract Labour compliance, Minimum Wages, and other applicable statutory requirements.
Maintain statutory registers, licences, challans, returns, wage records, attendance records, and other compliance documents as applicable.
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely submission of required labour compliance documents.
Prepare and maintain documentation required for client compliance audits, internal audits, and statutory inspections.
Coordinate for Labour Licence, BOCW registration/compliance, worker passes, medical documentation, and site-specific statutory requirements, wherever applicable.
Address employee/worker queries and grievances and coordinate with Corporate HR for appropriate resolution.
Conduct or coordinate site induction, HR orientation, training, awareness sessions, and employee engagement activities.
Support workforce planning and manpower mobilisation/demobilisation as per project requirements.
Ensure implementation of company HR policies, disciplinary procedures, and code of conduct at sites.
Submit regular HR and compliance reports/MIS to Corporate HR and project management.
Coordinate with site leadership to maintain a safe, respectful, disciplined, and legally compliant workplace.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Studies, or a related field.
Relevant experience in Site HR, HR Operations, Labour Compliance, or Industrial Relations.
Strong practical knowledge of statutory and labour compliance applicable to project/construction sites.
Familiarity with EPF, ESIC, BOCW, Contract Labour requirements, Minimum Wages, statutory registers, labour licences, and compliance documentation.
Experience in the interior fit-out, construction, civil, infrastructure, or project-based industry will be strongly preferred.
Strong employee relations, grievance-handling, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with workers, contractors, project teams, clients, and Corporate HR.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, HRMS, and digital record management.
Strong documentation and reporting skills with attention to compliance deadlines.
Willingness to work at project sites anywhere across India and relocate/travel based on project requirements is mandatory.
