Mechanical Engineering Expert
Pay: $50–$180/hour
Location: Global | Fully Remote
Work: Part-time | Approximately 15 hours/week
Schedule: Flexible
About the Role
We are looking for experienced Mechanical Engineering Experts to work on an AI training project involving mechanical engineering, simulation, computational modeling, and Python.
The role involves solving engineering problems, creating and reviewing simulations, developing computational models, and validating engineering solutions.

- Experience with AI coding agents / AI-assisted coding
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; OR
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 1–2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Experience with engineering design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D
- Good practical experience with Python
- Experience using coding/AI agents in your technical workflow
Relevant Tools
Experience with tools such as CalculiX, Gmsh, Elmer, FEniCSx, CadQuery, OpenSCAD, OpenFOAM, FreeCAD, or similar engineering software is a plus.
Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, or similar scientific-computing tools is also valuable.
Selection Process
1. Apply and complete the screening questions.
2. Complete an approximately 30-minute AI interview.
3. Hiring manager review.
4. Selected candidates proceed to onboarding.
Compensation
$50–$180/hour
Compensation is output-based and depends on completed tasks and project requirements.
Start Timeline
We are looking for candidates who are available to start immediately. Selected candidates should be ready to begin within approximately 24–48 hours after onboarding.
