Role Description The Sales Attendant role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. In this role, the Sales Attendant greets customers, provides product information, answers questions, and supports customers in making purchasing decisions. Daily tasks include handling cash and card transactions at the checkout, maintaining clean and organized shelves, restocking items, and monitoring inventory levels. The Sales Attendant also assists with basic merchandising, such as arranging product displays and placing promotional materials. The role involves working closely with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong customer service orientation and ability to engage respectfully and professionally with diverse customers.
Basic sales skills, including product explanation, upselling, and handling objections in a helpful manner.
Competence in cash handling, operating a point-of-sale (POS) system, and managing receipts and transactions accurately.
Organizational skills for maintaining tidy shelves, stockrooms, and displays, with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to follow clear instructions and store policies.
Ability to stand for extended periods, move products as needed, and work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Prior retail or customer-facing experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
Minimum high school education or equivalent; familiarity with basic math and use of common digital tools is an advantage.
