About the Opportunity
Maple Learning Solutions is hiring a ServiceNow Lead Developer for an opportunity with one of our enterprise clients.
The selected candidate will be responsible for hands-on ServiceNow development, technical implementation, workflow automation, integrations, troubleshooting, and technical delivery.
The role involves working closely with ServiceNow Architects, Technical Leads, and Delivery Teams to translate solution designs and business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
The candidate will also provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers while contributing to sprint-level delivery and implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead hands-on ServiceNow development across ITSM and ITOM/Event Management modules.
Translate technical requirements and architecture designs into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and application/infrastructure monitoring and logging platforms.
Develop automation for incident creation, updating, correlation, and historical context linking.
Design and develop workflows using Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Scripted REST APIs.
Work with ServiceNow APIs and integration frameworks to support third-party system integrations.
Work with CMDB relationships and ServiceNow data models.
Develop and troubleshoot integrations involving authentication, MID Server, Integration Hub, and third-party systems.
Take ownership of sprint-level technical delivery, including task breakdown, estimation, and issue resolution.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development and scripting standards.
Troubleshoot ServiceNow application issues, integration failures, logs, and payload-related issues.
Support UAT, defect triage, deployment, and go-live activities.
Prepare and maintain technical and implementation documentation.
Mentor junior ServiceNow developers and support knowledge transfer within the development team.
Participate in technical solutioning discussions and provide effort estimates for new features and use cases.
Collaborate with Architects and Delivery Teams to ensure quality and timely implementation.
Must-Have Skills
5–8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead or mentoring capacity.

Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM modules, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Exposure to ITOM/Event Management.
Experience with Scripted REST APIs.
Experience developing and maintaining third-party integrations.
Working knowledge of MID Server and Integration Hub.
Good understanding of CMDB relationships and ServiceNow data structures.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across ServiceNow logs and integration payloads.
Ability to lead and mentor a small development team.
Good to Have
Experience integrating ServiceNow with monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, ELK, or similar tools.
Exposure to ServiceNow AI and Predictive Intelligence.
Experience with log/event correlation and automated incident management.
Experience with ML-based text or log matching.
Experience building new ServiceNow modules, solutions, or offerings rather than working exclusively on BAU support.
Experience working in large enterprise ServiceNow environments.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practices.
