Marketing & Communications Strategist | Oscar Campaign
Mumbai | Full time / Project based | Immediate
We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Strategist to join us on an exciting film campaign with an international ambition.
We’re working on the Oscar campaign for an Oscar nominated Indian film, and we’re looking for someone who can help build and execute the marketing strategy for the campaign over the next two months.
This is not just a social media role.
We’re looking for someone who can think about the entire campaign. The story we tell, the audiences we speak to, the conversations we create, and how we make the film culturally relevant and impossible to ignore.
What you’ll be doing
• Build the overall marketing and communications strategy for the Oscar campaign
• Develop a strong social first campaign strategy, particularly for Instagram
• Identify cultural moments, conversations and opportunities that the film can own
• Develop campaign ideas that can travel beyond the film’s existing audience
• Plan content pillars, formats, narratives and communication themes
• Create a structured content and campaign calendar
• Work closely with the creative, production, PR and digital teams to turn strategy into execution
• Think about collaborations, partnerships, community building and digital activations
• Track social performance and continuously optimise the strategy
• Help build momentum around the film nationally and internationally
• Think beyond conventional film marketing. We want ideas that people genuinely want to talk about and share.
Who we’re looking for
Someone who:
• Has 1-2 years of experience in marketing, strategy, social media, advertising, entertainment or a creative agency
• Has strong strategic thinking and can connect the big picture to execution
• Understands how Instagram and social culture actually work
• Can spot trends without blindly following them
• Has a strong understanding of content, storytelling and audience behaviour
• Can turn an objective into a clear campaign idea and then into an actionable plan
• Is comfortable working in a fast paced, highly creative environment
• Is curious about films, culture, internet behaviour and what makes people pay attention
• Can confidently present ideas and defend strategic thinking
• Most importantly, thinks creatively but executes practically
Bonus points if you have
• Worked on film, entertainment, fashion, culture or large scale brand campaigns
• Experience with social first campaigns
• Experience working with creators, communities or digital publications
• International or global campaign experience
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels and emerging social formats
• A portfolio or case studies showing campaigns you have personally contributed to
What this role offers
This is an opportunity to work on a high stakes, high visibility film campaign with an international audience, alongside a creative and production team.
You won’t just be executing someone else’s strategy.
You’ll be helping shape the strategy itself.
If you’re someone who sees a blank page and immediately starts thinking about the idea, the audience, the conversation and how to make it spread, we’d love to hear from you.
