Job Summary
The Manager Virtual CFO is responsible for leading finance and accounting engagements, providing strategic financial advisory, managing client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of outsourced CFO services. The role requires strong technical expertise in finance, compliance, business partnering, and team leadership to help clients improve financial performance and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Lead end-to-end finance function for multiple client engagements.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and management reports.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
Conduct profitability, variance, and financial performance analysis.
Strategic CFO Advisory
Support business strategy through financial planning and analysis.
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial plans.
Develop financial models for business expansion, fundraising, and investment decisions.
Advise management on financial risks and business performance.
Drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
Liaise with auditors, banks, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
Monitor statutory compliances including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
Business Partnering
Work closely with promoters, founders, CEOs, and business heads.
Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
Evaluate new business opportunities and capital investments.
Assist in fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting.
Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
Review work performed by team members.
Allocate assignments and monitor engagement timelines.
Conduct performance reviews and support capability development.
Client Management
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Build strong client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and expanding services.
Participate in business development initiatives and client presentations.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
MBA (Finance) – Preferred
1 – 5 years of post-qualification experience in finance, consulting, or CFO advisory
Experience with outsourcing, consulting firms, or Big Four firms is preferred.
