# Project Manager – Reinsurance Professional Services
## About the Role
Sapiens is seeking a **Project Manager** to lead customer implementations of its proprietary insurance software applications. This role combines technical project management, **P&C reinsurance industry expertise**, and customer-facing leadership. The Project Manager works directly with client business and technical teams as well as internal technical experts to deliver projects successfully, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The position is responsible for project initiation, planning, delivery, stakeholder reporting, risk management, change management, resource coordination, budgeting, and client relationship management. The role is fully remote in the **U.S. or Canada**, with occasional client-site attendance and travel of up to 15%, depending on assigned projects.
## Key Responsibilities
* Initiate projects in partnership with Sapiens Finance, Legal, and Sales teams.
* Assist with client-specific sales materials and project documentation.
* Prepare, review, and obtain client approval for license contracts, work orders, and change requests.
* Manage project resources and coordinate business analysts, developers, QA testers, and technical leads.
* Support project teams throughout the full lifecycle, from requirements acquisition through system deployment and go-live.
* Work with resource managers to ensure appropriately qualified team members are assigned to projects.
* Develop and maintain implementation blueprint requirements documents.
* Create, execute, monitor, and update project plans.
* Estimate project budgets and actively monitor costs against forecasts.
* Review budgets and project costs with customers and internal management.
* Maintain detailed project time records.
* Support project governance through status reports, milestones, risks, and project performance reporting.
* Maintain proactive risk management processes and develop mitigation plans.
* Manage project change management processes and change backlogs.
* Identify changes to requirements and project plans before unplanned work begins.
* Prioritize changes according to client requirements and prepare change orders when necessary.
* Manage client relationships and expectations throughout consultancy engagements.
* Maintain familiarity with client contracts, license agreements, work orders, and amendments.
* Manage project invoicing and billable milestones.
* Participate in client issue management and escalation processes.
* Coordinate with internal teams to resolve system delivery and support issues.
* Participate in strategic planning sessions with clients and Sapiens management.
* Provide feedback for annual performance reviews of direct project team members.
* Apply Agile or waterfall methodologies and supporting project management tools across multiple concurrent projects.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent STEM discipline**.
* **10+ years of experience** leading software projects involving development and delivery of customized customer solutions.
* Experience delivering projects to **Tier 1 insurance carriers**.
* **5+ years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Reinsurance industry**.
* Experience with project planning, resource management, change management, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling.
* Strong knowledge and practical experience with **Agile and waterfall methodologies** and the software development lifecycle.
* Experience leading teams and providing coaching, mentoring, and training to customers and staff.
* Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
* Advanced proficiency with **Microsoft Project, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools**.
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and customer engagements.
## Preferred Qualifications
* PMI, PRINCE2, or another advanced project management certification.
* MBA or Master's degree in management, science, or engineering.
* SAFe certification.
* Agile Scrum Master certification.
* Experience with business transformation projects.
* Training or experience with **US GAAP or IFRS accounting** in a regulated industry.
* Experience working with offshore teams.
* Demonstrated ability to represent an organization confidently with customers.
## Work Arrangement & Travel
* **Location:** United States or Canada
* **Work Arrangement:** Fully Remote
* Occasional client-site attendance may be required.
* **Travel:** Minimal anticipated; may be up to **15%**, depending on assigned projects.
