EAIG:Lead – Application Engineering

Role Description
About the Role Lead the strategy, design, deployment and governance of enterprise-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), Conversational AI and Intelligent Automation initiatives across the organization. Drive business transformation through AI-led customer engagement, operational efficiency, digital servicing and intelligent decision-making platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
AI Strategy & Transformation
Define and execute the enterprise AI roadmap aligned with business priorities and digital transformation objectives.
Identify, evaluate and scale AI use cases across business functions including customer acquisition, servicing, sales, operations, risk and compliance.
Establish AI operating models, governance frameworks, and adoption strategies.
Enterprise AI Platform & Governance
Oversee AI platforms, model lifecycle management, AI gateways, integrations, and enterprise architecture.
Establish responsible AI practices, model governance, security controls, audit mechanisms, and risk management processes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, information security and internal governance requirements.
Programme & Portfolio Management
Manage a portfolio of strategic AI initiatives from ideation through production deployment.
Drive business case development, budgeting, vendor selection, commercial evaluations, and programme governance.
Track delivery milestones, benefits realization, ROI, and executive reporting.
Stakeholder Leadership
Partner with senior business leaders, operations teams, technology groups, product teams, and external partners to drive AI adoption.
Present programme updates, business impact and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
Act as the central point of coordination across business, technology, analytics and vendor teams.
Innovation & Emerging Technologies
Evaluate emerging AI, GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities and identify opportunities for enterprise adoption.
Drive experimentation, proof-of-concepts, and industrialization of innovative solutions.
Develop reusable AI capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple business functions.
Team Leadership
Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams comprising product managers, analysts, architects, engineers, and programme managers.
Mentor leaders and establish delivery governance mechanisms across AI initiatives.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
12 - 18 years of overall experience in Banking, Financial Services, Digital Transformation, Technology Strategy, AI/ML or Enterprise Platforms.
Strong experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and executive-level governance forums.
Experience delivering AI, Conversational AI, GenAI, automation or analytics-led business solutions.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline.
MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
