Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kerala, India, for a technical designer specializing in production and cutting lists translates interior design concepts into precise, actionable shop drawings and material layouts for the workshop floor. In this position, the designer will translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings, production-ready files, and material specifications for interior projects. Responsibilities include coordinating print and production requirements, preparing layouts and graphics for interior elements, and ensuring that all technical documentation aligns with project standards. Responsibilities also involve updating project documentation, maintaining accurate records of revisions, and supporting onsite teams with clear instructions and visual references.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Production Design and Print Production for interior applications.
Ability to read and develop technical drawings, layouts, and material specifications for interior projects.
Knowledge in cutting list preparation will be beneficial to the role.
Hands-on experience with industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).
Good understanding of interior materials, finishes, and fabrication processes.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with vendors and onsite staff.
Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Production Design, Civil/Furniture Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience in interior design or creating production drawings is an advantage.
