CivicScience Internships
CivicScience internships are designed to introduce students to the world of market intelligence, advertising, and media. We are currently seeing undergrad and graduate students for our 2026/2027 internship programs. Join us for 6-10 weeks, up to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to meet student needs and academic requirements. Opportunities may be available in:
communications, social media, marketing
people operations and human resources
technology, product, and program management
advertising, research, data, publications/media
As an intern, you may partner with a business leader to:
brainstorm creative ideas for products, programs, and initiatives
draft content for internal and external communications
research innovative and responsible ways to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into workflows, platforms, and standard operating procedures
discover educational opportunities in branding, communications, market research, data analysis, technology, finance, and more
create project deliverables, including written documentation, presentations (group and/or individual), and other components that meet academic standards, allowing students to earn college-level credit(s)
Qualifications & Experience
Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively
Excellent written communication, including impeccable grammar
Eligibility to receive college credits for an unpaid internship
Education in relevant academic programs
Tech literacy on a variety of platforms/programs
CivicScience internships are remote (work from home) roles for US-based undergraduate or graduate students. Time commitment is up to 20 hours per week for 6-10 weeks. Preference is given to candidates in the greater Pittsburgh region.
