Role Description The Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist is a full-time remote role responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality occupational therapy services. Day-to-day tasks include assessing individuals’ functional abilities, developing and implementing rehabilitation plans, and recommending interventions that promote independence and safety in daily living. The role involves collaborating with medical, social care, and therapy colleagues, providing clinical guidance to practitioners, and contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions. The Senior Practitioner will manage complex caseloads, provide professional supervision and mentoring to less experienced team members, and ensure practice adheres to relevant legislation, policies, and best-practice standards. The position also includes documenting interventions, maintaining accurate records, engaging with service users and families, and supporting service development initiatives in a remote working environment.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice.
Solid understanding of Medicine and Rehabilitation principles relevant to community and remote health care settings.
Strong Communication skills for working with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including supporting children and young people with diverse needs.
Professional registration (e.g., HCPC or equivalent) as an Occupational Therapist and eligibility to practice.
Experience in a senior, advanced, or specialist occupational therapy role, ideally within health or social care services.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, including using digital tools for assessment, documentation, and collaboration.
Strong organizational, time-management, and caseload management skills, with the ability to prioritize complex work.
