Tutor Pay & Compensation
$20-$35 per hour base pay
Up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments
Performance bonuses tied to student satisfaction, reliability, and other performance criteria
Semi-monthly pay, flexible scheduling, and the ability to build a tutoring caseload around your availability

Unlike online-only tutoring platforms and app-based gig tutoring jobs, Tutor Doctor tutors are backed by a dedicated local team — not an algorithm. We personally get to know every tutor and thoughtfully match you to students based on subject expertise, teaching style, student goals, and preferred travel area and availability.
We handle client acquisition, billing, family communication, scheduling coordination, and administrative logistics so you can focus on what you do best: helping students learn, grow, and build confidence.
You'll also receive:

Math Tutor Qualifications
Current college enrollment or a completed college degree
Strong knowledge of math through algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and/or calculus
Background as a teacher, education professional, or subject-matter expert
Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles
Reliability, professionalism, and consistent follow-through
Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring assignments
A genuine passion for education and student success
Tutoring Job Locations — East Valley, Arizona
Chandler, Gilbert, Ahwatukee/South Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and other East Valley communities. Both in-home and online/virtual tutoring available. Tutors set their own preferred cities, travel radius, subjects, and availability.
