Head of SEO

Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially focused Head of SEO to lead their SEO strategy across multiple markets and websites. This is a fully remote, strategic yet hands-on leadership role, with responsibility for the SEO Managers and wider SEO team.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the overall SEO strategy across multiple markets and websites.
Lead and develop the SEO team, including three SEO Managers, setting clear targets, KPIs and priorities.
Oversee technical SEO, on-page SEO, content strategy, keyword research, link building and digital PR.
Work closely with Product, Development, Content and Social Media teams.
Monitor organic traffic, rankings, visibility, conversions and revenue, translating data into commercial actions.
Identify new markets, search trends and organic growth opportunities.
Stay ahead of search algorithm changes, AI Overviews, generative AI and emerging search technologies.
Provide Senior Management with SEO reporting, forecasts and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
6+ years of senior SEO leadership experience.
Proven experience leading and developing SEO teams, ideally including managing managers.
Strong expertise across technical SEO, on-page SEO, content, keyword research, link building and digital PR.
Proven track record of delivering measurable and sustainable organic growth.
Strong knowledge of search algorithms, SEO best practices and the evolving AI/generative search landscape.
Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush or similar tools.
Experience managing SEO across multiple websites, markets or international environments is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, commercial, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
Excellent written and spoken English and comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
