Role Description The Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, responsible for overseeing all purchasing and procurement activities for Chicpicado. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and products. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, analyzing purchase data, and coordinating with internal teams to forecast demand and align procurement with business needs. The Purchase Manager will manage vendor relationships, resolve supply issues, and maintain accurate records to support cost control and quality standards.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in procurement or purchasing management, including supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
Strong skills in inventory control, demand planning, and cost analysis to support efficient purchasing decisions.
Proficiency with procurement or ERP software, spreadsheets, and basic data reporting tools.
Solid understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and quality assurance principles.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work on-site in Kozhikode and coordinate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field; relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
Prior experience in retail, manufacturing, or distribution sectors is beneficial.
