Scrub Nurse

Educational Qualification :Should hold a Diploma in GNM nursing from any recognized institute or organization.
Employment type : Full time
Required Experience :Should have a minimum of 5 years of work experience as an OT Nurse or Operation Theatre Assistant in a reputed multispecialty hospital.
Roles & Responsibilities :
1st Assistant
-Assisted the surgeon directly during surgical procedures by providing instruments, sutures, and other required materials.
-Anticipated the surgeons needs and maintained an efficient surgical workflow.
-Assisted with tissue handling, retraction, suction, hemostasis, and wound closure as required.
-Maintained strict aseptic technique and ensured the sterile field was preserved throughout the procedure.
-Performed accurate counts of instruments, needles, sponges, and swabs in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Assisted in managing specimens and ensuring their correct labeling and transfer.
2nd Assistant
-Assisted the 1st assistant and surgeon in maintaining optimal exposure of the operative field.
-Supported retraction, suction, positioning, and other intraoperative requirements under the direction of the surgical team.
-Prepared and provided additional instruments and supplies when required.
-Maintained awareness of the surgical field and anticipated the needs of the operating team.
-Assisted with surgical dressing, wound care, and completion of the procedure.
-Followed infection-control, sterilization, and patient-safety protocols throughout the operation.
