Data Operations Executive

About the Role
As a Data Operations Executive at Material Depot, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring our product catalog and vendor data are accurate, clean, and optimized for business use. You will collaborate closely with vendors, internal teams, and technology platforms to manage product listings, collate and clean data, and streamline workflows that power India’s largest interior materials platform.
Key Responsibilities
A. Product Listing & Management
Upload and maintain product data across Material Depot’s systems.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of product attributes (size, finish, pricing, categories, description).
B. Vendor Coordination
Interact with vendors to collect and validate product data.
Follow up with vendors for missing details or corrections.
C. Data Cleaning & Collation
Collect raw data from multiple sources and transform it into structured formats.
Identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors in data, and resolve them proactively.
D. Data Analysis & Queries
Use SQL to query, validate, and manipulate datasets.
Generate reports and insights to support internal teams.
E. Excel Mastery
Create and maintain detailed Excel sheets for bulk product uploads and validations.
Build advanced formulas, pivot tables, and automated checks for efficiency.
F. Process Efficiency
Maintain high standards of data hygiene across all systems.
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Requirements
1–2 years of work experience in data operations, catalog management, or related fields.
Proficiency in SQL with ability to write and optimize queries.
Strong skills in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning tools).
Excellent aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
