Role Description The Sales Representative role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The individual in this role will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage existing customer relationships, and promote the company’s generator and power solution products to industrial, commercial, and institutional clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sales visits and product demonstrations, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating pricing and terms within company guidelines, and closing sales to meet or exceed targets. The Sales Representative will collaborate with internal teams for order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales support, while maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, leads, and sales activities. The role also involves gathering market intelligence, participating in promotional events or trade shows as required, and providing feedback to management on customer needs and competitive trends.
Qualifications
Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Knowledge of industrial or technical products, ideally generators or power solutions, and ability to explain product features and benefits clearly.
Effective communication and presentation skills, including confident interaction with customers at multiple organizational levels.
Solid organizational and time-management capabilities, with attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
Comfort with basic digital tools such as CRM systems, email, and productivity software for managing leads and sales data.
Ability to work independently in the field, travel within the region as needed, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Prior experience in B2B sales, industrial equipment sales, or related fields is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
