About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
About Us: We are a fast-growing, sustainability-forward electronics recycling firm dedicated to the circular economy. We recover precious metals, critical raw materials, and high-grade plastics from electronic waste, ensuring zero landfill waste. We are looking for a hands-on, floor-based leader to take full ownership of our state-of-the-art E-Waste Recycling Facility.
Job Summary: As the Factory Manager, you will run day-to-day operations of our multi-shift e-waste processing and material recovery facility. You will be responsible for mass-balance optimization, maximizing yield recovery, minimizing residue, and ensuring 100% compliance with environmental and hazardous waste management rules. This is a highly operational role requiring an active shop floor presence and a deep understanding of mechanical dismantling, crushing, sorting, and refining technologies.
Key Responsibilities: * Production & Capacity Management: Plan and execute multi-shift operations across manual dismantling, mechanical shredding, optical sorting, and advanced material separation lines.
* Yield & Mass-Balance Optimization: Track the mass balance closely—ensuring that every metric ton of e-waste (IT assets, household appliances, circuit boards) input is efficiently tracked through to final output (recovered copper, aluminum, plastics, e-scrap fractions).
* Asset & Equipment Reliability: Manage the preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs for heavy industrial equipment like industrial shredders, magnetic separators, eddy current separators, and air classifiers to ensure high OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
* Regulatory & Environmental Compliance: Guarantee 100% adherence to all local environmental boards, hazardous waste disposal guidelines, pollution control norms, and labor laws. Ensure the safety of all team members through strict PPE enforcement and hazard monitoring.
* Material Inventory & SCM Alignment: Partner with procurement and logistics teams to plan inbound scrap flows, maximize inventory turns, and ensure safe storage of components like lithium-ion batteries and cathode ray tubes (CRTs).
* Continuous Improvement & Lean: Implement 5S, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to optimize floor space, reduce processing cycle times, and maximize labor productivity.
* Team Leadership: Supervise, train, mentor, and build a high-performance floor team consisting of shift supervisors, machine operators, and manual sorters.
