Role Description The Production Manager role is a full-time hybrid position based in Hyderabad, with a mix of on-site responsibilities at the manufacturing facility and some work-from-home flexibility for planning and reporting tasks. This role oversees end-to-end production operations, including scheduling, resource planning, and coordination with procurement, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure timely output and adherence to specifications. The Production Manager monitors production performance, implements process improvements, and ensures compliance with safety standards, environmental guidelines, and company policies. Daily responsibilities include supervising production staff, resolving operational issues, optimizing workflows, managing inventory levels, and aligning production plans with customer orders and project timelines. The role also involves preparing reports, analyzing key performance indicators, supporting cost control initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain high product quality standards.
Qualifications
Experience in production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of quality control practices, process improvement methodologies, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Proficiency in using production management or ERP systems, along with basic data analysis and reporting skills.
Effective leadership capabilities, including team supervision, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across operations, procurement, sales, and project teams.
Background in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or a related technical field; prior experience in lighting or electronics manufacturing is an advantage.
Ability to work in a hybrid model, manage time independently, and adapt to changing production priorities and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing management, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications in production or operations management are beneficial.
