We are looking for a Senior Sybase and Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in Sybase ASE, T-SQL, Unix and Python-based ETL/data solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimise Sybase queries and stored procedures.
Build Python-based ETL/data processing solutions.
Work on Unix-based data and file operations.
Analyse and resolve technical issues across applications and databases.
Translate business requirements into technical implementation steps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support technical decisions.
Follow Agile SDLC practices and contribute as a technical SME.
Requirements:
5 plus years of experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Sybase ASE / T-SQL.
Complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
Unix/Linux - file operations, permissions, environment and data handling.
Python for data processing / ETL.
Shell scripting.
Autosys / job scheduling.
Experience with data cleansing, ingestion, loading and reporting.
Sybase performance tuning, database optimisation, backup/recovery, and application integration experience.
