Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Visual Effects Artist role based in Chennai. The Visual Effects Artist will create, refine, and integrate visual effects elements for a variety of projects, ensuring they align with the creative direction and technical requirements. Responsibilities include building and animating 3D assets, setting up lighting and rendering scenes, compositing layers and effects, and collaborating with directors, animators, and other artists to achieve cohesive visuals. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing workflows, and maintaining consistent quality across deliverables within project timelines.
Qualifications
3D production skills including proficiency in Autodesk Maya and related 3D tools.
Strong lighting skills, including setting up, adjusting, and rendering realistic or stylized lighting in 3D scenes.
Compositing skills for integrating multiple visual elements and effects into final shots.
Animation skills for creating believable motion for characters, objects, and environmental elements.
Understanding of game development workflows and real-time engines is an advantage.
Ability to interpret storyboards and creative briefs, and translate them into visual effects sequences.
Strong artistic sense of composition, color, and visual storytelling.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in VFX, Animation, Game Design, or a related field.
Prior experience in a studio or production environment is preferred.
