Global IT Operations Director

This role is a senior leadership position responsible for defining and leading the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of Global IT Operations and Digital Resilience, within the Chief Operating Office (COO) The Director will ensure C&R Software has reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective internal technology operations that enable employees globally, support day-to-day business operations, and strengthen the organisation’s ability to serve clients effectively.
The role combines enterprise technology leadership, operational excellence, financial governance, people development, and strategic transformation. It requires a leader who can manage complex internal IT environments, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, shape the technology roadmap, and create an operating model that supports current business needs while remaining closely aligned to client service requirements, including the AWS tooling and SaaS capabilities that underpin C&R Software’s customer solutions
Key focus areas include:
· Setting the vision and direction for global IT operations, infrastructure, service delivery, cybersecurity, identity management, monitoring, and incident response.
· Driving operational excellence through scalable processes, performance metrics, automation, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement.
· Partnering with business leaders to ensure internal technology operations directly support business continuity, productivity, collaboration, and effective client service delivery.
· Leading managers and senior managers, developing talent strategies, strengthening succession planning, and building a high-performing leadership bench.
· Managing financial performance, cost optimisation, budgeting, business cases, vendor partnerships, and investment decisions across IT operations.
· Shaping and executing a 2–3 year technology operations strategy that supports internal business operations, digital transformation, enterprise resilience, AWS tooling awareness, and future organisational scale.
Success in this role will depend on strong executive leadership, commercial and financial acumen, stakeholder influence, strategic thinking, risk management, and the ability to lead large-scale change.
The ideal candidate will bring deep IT operations experience, a proven record of enterprise transformation, and the capability to build resilient teams and technology services that enable C&R Software’s continued growth.
