Role Description The GM–Hydro Projects Execution, GM–Transmission Lines, and GM–PEB roles are full-time, on-site positions based in different locations within India These roles are responsible for end-to-end project execution, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring for hydro power plants, transmission line projects, and pre-engineered buildings. Day-to-day tasks include leading multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors, overseeing site activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The GM will prepare and review project plans, budgets, and progress reports; identify and mitigate risks; and drive timely completion of milestones. The role also involves optimizing construction methodologies, resolving technical and operational issues on site, mentoring project staff, and supporting continuous improvement in project management practices.
Qualifications
Strong project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management for large infrastructure projects.
Technical expertise in hydro power project execution, transmission line construction, or pre-engineered building (PEB) structures, including site engineering and construction methodologies.
Leadership and people management skills to guide multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and foster a culture of safety and performance.
Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and regulatory requirements applicable to power and infrastructure projects, including quality and safety management systems.
Ability to analyze project data, prepare reports and presentations, and make informed decisions under time and resource constraints.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interaction with clients, vendors, local authorities, and internal teams.
Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Previous experience (typically 15+ years) in leading end-to-end execution of hydro, transmission, or industrial building projects in India, with on-site leadership responsibilities.
Proficiency in project management and engineering tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera, CAD software) and comfort with digital reporting and documentation systems.
