**Job Title: Junior Legal Associate – Legal & Due Diligence**

Role Overview
We are looking for a **Junior Legal Associate** who is an **enrolled Advocate** and has prior experience in legal due diligence, banking/NPA matters, litigation, or related areas.
The candidate will work closely with the legal and execution teams on assignments involving stressed assets, NPA/NPL portfolios and related legal due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct legal due diligence and review of documents relating to **NCLT, DRT, IBC/IBBI and SARFAESI** matters.
* Review and analyse legal documents, case records, orders, notices and other relevant information.
* Assist in legal due diligence of **NPA/NPL portfolios** proposed for sale.
* Coordinate with banks/lenders for obtaining and reviewing required legal and case-related information.
* Assist in preparation and maintenance of data rooms for NPA/NPL transactions.
* Support diligence for prospective investors and assist in responding to legal queries raised during the transaction process.
* Coordinate with internal teams, lenders, advocates and other stakeholders for additional information/documents required.
* Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, reports and observations as required.
* Assist in reviewing and interpreting relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
* Undertake client meetings/site visits and travel within and outside Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, as required.
Requirements
* **LLB/LLM qualification with valid Advocate enrolment.**
* **Prior work experience as an Advocate / Legal Associate** is required.
* Experience in **banking, NPA/NPL, IBC, NCLT, DRT, SARFAESI, legal due diligence or financial/legal advisory** will be an advantage.
* Good understanding of legal documentation, case proceedings and legal research.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Good working knowledge of **MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint**.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team.
* Willingness to travel for business/client meetings, as required.
* Candidates who are **based in or can conveniently commute to Vashi, Navi Mumbai** will be preferred.
