SPIC MACAY Rajasthan is a state chapter of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth, dedicated to introducing young people to the rich heritage of Indian arts. The organization works with educational institutions and communities to organize cultural programs, workshops, and events that highlight classical music, dance, and traditional crafts. Through volunteer-driven initiatives, SPIC MACAY Rajasthan aims to inspire values of spirituality, integrity, and respect for diverse cultural traditions. The team collaborates with artists, educators, and partners to create impactful experiences for students and youth across the region.
Role Overview
The Resource Center Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end management of cultural programs and administrative operations within the Rajasthan region. This role requires a dedicated individual who can balance logistical precision with a deep appreciation for the arts, ensuring that the movement’s vision is executed seamlessly across educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Coordination & Planning
● Develop and manage the regional calendar for concerts, workshops, and the 'Virasat' series.
● Liaise with artists and their accompanists to finalize schedules, travel arrangements, and hospitality.
● Coordinate with schools and colleges to organize orientations and performances, ensuring all venue requirements are met.
2. Logistics & Creative Support
● Digital Design: Create visually engaging posters, flyers, and social media assets using Canva to promote upcoming events and initiatives.
● Oversee the physical setup of events, including sound, lighting, and stage management.
● Maintain the Resource Center’s inventory of promotional materials and equipment.
3. Financial Administration
● Manage the center’s operational budget and maintain meticulous financial records.
● Physically deliver cheques to artists and vendors, ensuring all payments are handled with punctuality and professionalism.
● Collect and archive all necessary financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, and reimbursement forms.
4. Communication & Outreach
● Draft official correspondence, including invitation letters to institutions and thank-you notes to participating artists.
● Act as a bridge between the central rajasthan team and local student volunteers.
● Assist in the preparation of post-event reports and documentation for archival purposes.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Canva for graphic design and basic office software (Excel/Word).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi.
Operations: Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle physical logistics and financial tasks.
Cultural Knowledge: A strong understanding of Indian classical music, dance, and heritage.

Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or evenings during peak event seasons.
A proactive problem-solver who can manage real-time challenges during live programs.
