Role Description The Operations Manager at 7 Haven Cafe is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandsaur, responsible for overseeing daily cafe operations and ensuring smooth, efficient service. This role includes supervising staff schedules, coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities, and monitoring food quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The Operations Manager will manage inventory, supplier relationships, and cost controls, as well as handle cash management and basic reporting on sales and operational performance. They will support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members, and provide coaching to maintain consistent customer service. The role also involves responding to guest feedback, resolving operational issues in real time, and collaborating with ownership on process improvements and promotional activities.
Qualifications
Experience in cafe, restaurant, or retail operations management, with the ability to oversee day-to-day activities and staff performance.
Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, scheduling, training, and conflict resolution.
Solid understanding of customer service principles, with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality.
Knowledge of basic inventory management, vendor coordination, cost control, and cash handling procedures.
Familiarity with food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance requirements in a food and beverage environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and provide clear direction.
Good organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to work in a fast-paced setting.
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred; a diploma or degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is an advantage.
