Role Description The Logistics Manager role at PERUMAL CHEM TECH is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehouse activities, and transportation scheduling. This role involves managing inventory levels, tracking material movement, and ensuring accurate documentation for orders, dispatches, and deliveries. The Logistics Manager will work closely with procurement, operations, and customer service teams to align supply chain activities with business needs, resolve delivery issues, and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors. The role also includes optimizing logistics processes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and analyzing data to improve cost-effectiveness and service quality.
Qualifications
Strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills to oversee end-to-end movement of goods and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Inventory Management to maintain accurate stock records, monitor reorder levels, and support efficient warehouse operations.
Experience in Procurement to collaborate on sourcing, ordering, and timely replenishment of materials and supplies.
Customer Service skills to manage delivery expectations, handle queries or complaints, and support long-term client relationships.
Ability to use logistics and ERP software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools for planning, tracking, and performance analysis.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on process improvement.
Effective communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and with external partners.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field; prior experience in industrial or chemical logistics is an advantage.
