Role Description The Senior Relationship Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Senior Relationship Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of clients by understanding their insurance needs, recommending suitable life and general insurance products, and ensuring a smooth buying experience through BajajCapitalInsurance.com and offline channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include building long-term client relationships, conducting regular follow-ups, resolving queries, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely policy issuance, renewals, and claims support. The role involves meeting sales and service targets, preparing client proposals, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, and staying updated on product features, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings. The Senior Relationship Manager will also support business development initiatives, participate in customer outreach campaigns, and uphold high standards of compliance and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, handle objections, and deliver high-quality customer service.
Sales and business development capabilities, with experience in achieving targets in financial services or insurance preferred.
Knowledge of life and general insurance products, with the ability to explain features, benefits, and exclusions clearly.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in spoken and written English; local language fluency is an advantage.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Comfort using digital tools, CRM systems, and online platforms for policy comparison, documentation, and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field; relevant certifications in insurance or financial advisory are an added advantage.
Prior experience in insurance broking, banking, or financial advisory roles is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple client engagements, and maintain high ethical and compliance standards.
