Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. In this role, the individual will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing invoices and receipts. The Accountant will assist with preparing financial statements, reconciling bank accounts, monitoring payable and receivable balances, and supporting budgeting and expense tracking. The role also includes ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing reports for management review. The individual will collaborate with internal teams, respond to accounting queries, and help improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
Experience with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel) and comfort working with numerical data.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to organize and maintain financial records and documentation.
Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic knowledge of GST and other statutory filings (or willingness to learn).
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Surat, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
